Cake Designer/Decorator @ Evenwood farm

we have an amazing opportunity for a great quality cake maker. We are looking for highly energetic, engaged and motivated individual to join our kitchen team here at Evenwood Farm. Must be flexible as this role requires every weekend

We pride ourselves on our detailed menu offering a huge variety, our signature cakes and of course the incredible carvery offered.

We are dedicated to make sure everyone leaves happy wanting to come back and we must deliver the best service every time and the best food!

Experience is necessary, although for the right person we are happy to provide you with the training needed.

Here's a look at the main duties involved:

• Cleans food preparation areas as determined by company policy
• Prepare foods to the specifications
• Follow cleaning schedules
• Prepare food daily
• Act as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperatures
• Season food according to recipes or company needs
• Communicate to kitchen manger
• Operate various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer
• Portion, arrange, and garnish food based on company standards
• Assist other cooks during the food assembly process
• To estimate and expected food consumption daily with the kitchen manager requirements and organises preparation for foods the next day
• Prepare any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
• Communicate with kitchen manger about how to improve meal service
• Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
• Prepare food either by heating it up or cooking it to order using portable cooking appliances (grills, fryers, hot plates, etc). Ensure the kitchen adheres to all Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations
