Position Overview & Specifications

Introduction

Evolve Facility Services was established in 2010 and is one of the largest in-house service providers in the UK, with offices in Widnes, Liverpool, Manchester, Carlisle and County Durham.

We’re proud to be part of The Riverside Group family and look after around 80% of Riverside’s stock – that’s over 40,000 properties based across the Northwest, Northeast and North of England.

Our Mission is to keep our customers’ homes safe, secure and well maintained – it’s what we do.

We’re now looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our friendly team in Widnes to provide advice, coaching and support for managers regarding employment relations matters and specialised people services.

This role is initially available on a fixed term basis for 12 months, however, there is a possibility that this could become a permanent position.

The difference you’ll make

As a key member of our HR Team, you’ll support our managers with a range of people issues and provide coaching to build leadership capability.

You’ll attend hearings and consultation meetings for ongoing people issues as required and manage any escalated policy queries and issues in collaboration with the HR Manager to ensure the provision of expertise.

You’ll also support our Senior Management Team with complex and high-profile people change initiatives, for example, organisational change and TUPE transfers.

In addition, you’ll have an input into the development of people policies and will lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service performance and customer satisfaction.

So, who are you?

We’re looking for someone with a track record of providing HR advice within a large, complex and unionised organisation.

The successful candidate will be CIPD qualified or equivalent, with an in-depth knowledge of employment law and ACAS guidelines.

You’ll have experience of dealing with complex and high-profile people issues, including collating evidence for Employment Tribunals.

Previous experience of working in a social housing setting is desirable but not essential.

A full UK driving license is required.

Enjoy the rewards

We’re asking a lot from our new HR Advisor, but this is a job that offers you the chance to make a real difference at every stage of the employee lifecycle.

As part of the Riverside family, we’re focused on being an employer of choice, where people thrive and your voice is truly heard. You’ll enjoy competitive pay, and a wide range of benefits, including:

  • 25 days’ annual leave plus 8 UK bank holidays
  • A defined contribution pension scheme
  • Maternity, Paternity and Adoption leave with enhanced pay (subject to eligibility)
  • Access to wellbeing benefits, such as our Employee Assistance Programme, Staff Groups and The Workplace Trust
  • Fantastic colleague discounts at a host of retailers

If you’re the kind of person that wants to do a really great job and make a difference to our customers and colleagues, we think you’ll love it here.

We recognise that our colleagues are our greatest asset and want every single person to feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work. We encourage diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all our colleagues. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and abilities.
