The Cormar Carpet Company is a proud, British, family-run business and has been making carpets since 1956 at our two mills in Lancashire. We make and deliver our carpets to around 3,000 Cormar Carpet Company retailers across the UK and Ireland, with a fleet of over 65 vehicles. We've won over forty carpet and flooring industry awards, including being voted "Best Carpet Manufacturer 2017" by readers of Interiors Monthly and F1 "Carpet Supplier Of The Year" for the last 13 years.

Main Duties: Contribute to the effective running of Cormar's Warehouse pick, pack and loading operation. Daily duties include FLT boom operation, operating cutting and packing machinery, RF gun operation, stock movements / stock-takes, other duties as from time to time directed by Team Leader and Line Manager.

Job Involves: Some mobility, occasional lifting of moderate weights

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to achievement of organisation and department goals through completion of daily duties to required standards
• Ensure product quality is to required standards
• Flexibly to cover the team and other duties as required
• Maintain agreed house-keeping standards

Ideal Skills / Qualifications:

• Previous FLT experience is essential
• Ability to communicate effectively within the team and in the wider organisation
• Knowledge of how the department works and how it fits in with the rest of the organisation
• Ability to work to agreed deadlines
• IT and administration skills commensurate with effectively fulfilling the role

Hours Available:

• Days: Sun-Thurs, 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm, rotating weekly

Salary:

• The hourly rate is £12.62
• 2pm-10pm shift allowance £35 per week
