Hygiene Supervisor - Night shift

We are looking to recruit a Hygiene Supervisor, to join our team at our site in Erith working on a 4 on 4 off night shift, 7pm-7am.

Job Purpose:

Working alongside and supporting the Hygiene team. Ensuring that the factory equipment and environment are kept and maintained to a high degree of cleanliness, in accordance with the site & Customer codes of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• To manage Team Leaders and Operatives on shift in the department.
• To have a full understanding of the COSHH requirements and chemicals in use.
• Full understanding of Health and Safety procedures and document needs of the department.
• To immediately report all potential hygiene and health & safety hazards and/or unsafe working practices to the Hygiene Manager.
• To have a full understanding of the cleaning systems, schedules, equipment and procedures throughout the factory combined.
• To ensure all correct PPE is in good condition and worn at all times.
• To complete stock takes and order all cleaning materials as and when required.
• To carry out post engineering cleaning for any engineering work.
• To ensure all areas are clean to support site visits and audits.
• Implement training sessions for the team.
• To perform other such duties as reasonably correspond to the general character of the role and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.

Skills:

• To ensure a good working relationship with the team
• Attention to detail

What Experience:

• Basic understanding of Food Microbiology
• Familiar with Microsoft Package
• Experience in controlling budgets

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
