Position Overview & Specifications

JOB TITLE: NOC Engineer (1stLine)

LOCATION: Belfast, Dargan Cresent – On site

TERMS: Permanent, working 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Sunday) across 4 days, in a shift pattern covering a 24/7 rota.

This is an excellent opportunity supporting with one of the most exciting projects in the telecoms industry to date. You will be the first point of contact for techicnal support for our customers, working to find a resolution for any faults or outages.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? (not limited to)

· Actively supporting our installations team in FTTP deployments.

· Troubleshooting end user faults.

· Identifying faults and engaging with the relevant teams for support.

· Proactively managing critical alarms.

· Proactiviely manage outages, giving continuous feedback to the wider business and our customers.

· Own and manage tickets for incidents and faults.

· Working within our defined service level agreements.

· Talking customers through resolutions via phone.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

· Experience in a similar role.

· You will be confident in speaking with customers over the phone and finding solutions for their faults.

· An understanding of Wi-Fi protocols.

· A solid understanding of networking principles and protocols (IPv4, IPv6, VLANs).

· A customer centric approach, taking pride in achieving the best mutual outcome for the customer and Fibrus.

· Knowledge of GPON.

· Service desk experience and ticket management capability would be beneficial.
