Position Overview & Specifications

SUMMARY

EBC Brakes are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our two person HR & Payroll team based in the office, at our EBC Brakes World HQ in Northampton. Here you will be responsible for administering and running monthly payroll services for around 125 employees.

This is a temporary 3-month fixed term contract on a part time basis. Start date ASAP - 15/05/2023.

Flexible working hours considered, between 25-30 hours per week, between the hours 08:00-17:30 Mon-Thu & Fri 08:00-13:00. Would consider four-day week if it meets the minimum hours requirement.

Salary £25272-£27378 per annum (pro rata for part time) depending on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collate and process weekly timesheets;
  • Ensure payroll records are accurate and processed in line with company standards;
  • Process and submit monthly in-house payroll;
  • Deal with employee salary and payroll queries;
  • Maintain and update payroll data;
  • Liaise with HMRC where necessary;
  • Process RTI for monthly payroll;
  • Update all statutory payments as appropriate, including SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP;
  • Input and submit auto-enrolment pensions data;
  • Process staff expenses payments in line with expenses policy;
  • Running payroll reports;
  • Any other duties as assigned by the HR & Payroll Team Leader.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Previous experience and ability to demonstrate sound competence in a payroll role;
  • Self-sufficient in running monthly payroll;
  • Previous experience of Sage50 Payroll and Sage 200 systems preferred;
  • Must be professional and highly discrete with ability to communicate effectively with all levels;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Can demonstrate good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including basic Microsoft Excel skills.
