There are x2 Programme Officer vacancies.

Frontline is England’s largest social work charity. Everything we do aims to create social change for children who do not have a safe or stable home, by developing excellent social work practice, leadership and innovation.

A little bit about the role

The Programme Officer will play a leading role in shaping and implementing the delivery of the new Pathways Programme; a national leadership development programme for children’s social care leaders. The programme will attract and train up to 1000 leaders per year from Practice Supervisors to Practice Leaders through residentials, self-directed study, online workshops and coaching.

The Programme Officer will build and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders taking responsibility for the quality and consistency of leaders’ experiences whilst on the programme. They will need experience in managing project work, implementing programmes and have a confident and inclusive communication style. The successful candidates will work across a varied range of activities so will need to adapt quickly to the demands of the programme and needs of leaders enrolled on it.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Pathways programme leaders; providing practical support and assistance to support full engagement with the programme.
  • Alongside colleagues, create strategic plans for the delivery of the programme and organise team activity, flagging and mitigating risks appropriately.
  • Analyse findings from evaluation materials and feedback to identify potential changes and improvements to the programme.
  • Facilitate the operational and logistical planning and delivery of residential modules and online workshops

A little bit about you

We're looking for a strong communicator and relationship-builder, who is highly organised and able to balance multiple competing priorities. There is a high autonomy culture within the team and organisation, so the role requires someone who is well organised, pro-active and can use their initiative to do what works. The team has ambitious targets, so the Officer will need to be flexible and think strategically, at times beyond their role, as the team often work collectively to get the best results.

We have increased the diversity of Frontline’s workforce in the last 12 months, but we need to do more to have greater racialised minority representation. We know the value racialised minority voices bring and therefore, we are strongly encouraging applicants from these backgrounds to apply. We are also a disability confident employer and welcome applicants with disabilities.

Please let us know how we can make the recruitment process more accessible for you (like asking for the job pack in a different format, for example) by emailing our People team.
