Description

To work in a factory environment manufacturing precision photonics parts for the telecommunication, defence and life science sectors.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the assembly of custom fibre optic products.

Assembly of product from drawing, sketches, procedures, or verbal instruction.

Fibre stripping, cleaving, polishing, and final laser testing of fibre sub-assemblies.

Process a wide range of fibre optic components to high quality standards.

Packing parts for shipments to detailed written procedures.

Ideal candidates will have the following;

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Good levels of dexterity

Good English and Maths

A flexible attitude towards working an early / late shift pattern

Experience of working in an engineering / manufacturing / factory background

Up to 19.5% uplift on shifts and up to x1.5 overtime rate and x2 rate for Sundays / bank holidays over 39 hours
