We have 3x new openings for skilled & experienced Sentinel Card/PTS qualified operatives who hold both AC/DC competencies, to join a leading train operating company as a Train Cleaner, to perform a range of cleaning tasks to ensure the trains are meeting the required cleanliness standards and are suitable for passenger service.

Tell me more about this role.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a valid Sentinel Card with PTS competencies of AC/DC. A Ganymede induction at our London office is required before commencing with full PPE issued.

As a Train Cleaner, working in an engineering depot environment, you shall be tasked with interior train cleaning tasks such as deep cleans and full cleans (touch point cleaning, sanitising, hoovering, mopping, removing of rubbish & waste, ensuring toilets are presentable etc…) and exterior train cleaning tasks such as hand-bashing, fuelling, sanding, graffiti removal and more. This role will see you use specialist cleaning equipment & chemicals where the trains/fleets are stationed in an outdoor area, with on-the-job training provided.

Requirements

A highly desired & skilled role requires you to demonstrate a strong work ethic, effective communication skills, reliability, and flexibility to work permanent nights on both weeknights and weekends as part of a 7-night roster schedule. Working hours are one of the following.

A) 22:00 pm – 05:00am every night

B) 21:30pm – 04:30am every night

C) 21:00pm – 04:00am Monday – Friday and Saturday & Sunday 22:00pm – 05:00am

Rates of Pay

• Standard Hours (35 hours standard per week) - £11.23 p/h
• Overtime - £16.73 p/h
• Sunday Nights - £19.52 p/h
• Pay is on a weekly basis.
• After 12 weeks, on week 13, your pay is increased as part of agency workers’ rights.

This position will see you join Ganymede Solutions and be contracted to our client on a 6-month initial contract with the view to joining on a permanent basis as they grow their headcount.
