Apprentice Underwriting Assistant

We’re on the hunt for an Apprentice Underwriting Assistant to join us on a new apprenticeship scheme. We are pleased to now be able to invite applications for this role, so whether you are looking to start your career in insurance or already have some experience this could be for you!

This role is 35 hours a week - Monday to Friday and unlike other apprenticeships, you will get every Friday off to completely focus on your apprenticeship work!

So what does an Apprentice Underwriting Assistant do?
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities

• Preparation and production of client records
• Preparation, production, and delivery of policy renewal invitations
• Checking Third Party databases and accurately recording results
• Production of management information reports and creating outputs for the business
• Distribution of policy administration system-based post and emails and handling and directing telephone calls
• At least 20% of the working week to be allocated to apprenticeship studies

What Are We Looking For

• Someone who actively and confidentally uses Microsoft Office products specifically Word, Excel
• If you have an interest in insurance and experience or knowledge of working on a farm this would be ideal
• Super organised and someone who can deliver on their promises
• Excellent written verbal and numerical skills
