GLF Schools are delighted to be recruiting for a brand-new role within the Trust. We are seeking an ambitious, dynamic and innovative leader to join our Executive Team in the role of Director of Secondary Education.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of leadership and positive impact across a number of schools and contexts.

Your opportunity

The role of the Director of Secondary Education is to provide strategic leadership of secondary education across GLF Schools. Working with secondary school leaders and the Director of Primary Education, the role should ensure clarity of strategy, vision and ethos that reflect the GLF Schools values of Respect, Inclusivity, Integrity, and Kindness.

Accountable to the CEO and Trust Board, you will have a key role in all business activities. The overarching objective is to create excellent secondary schools that foster educational and operational improvement as well as financial stability, thus fulfilling the Trust’s strategic aims.

Executive leaders are strategic thinkers as well operational leads, with the ability to consider the bigger picture across the wider business. They must be resilient, astute, responsive to change and have the courage to deliver challenge. You will be an expert in secondary education practice, with a deep understanding of effective school improvement processes, and be confident in managing the finances and leading the operational aspects of the phase with our school leaders.
