Position Overview & Specifications

A great opportunity has arisen to work within our Digital team. We are looking for a talented Content Writer to ensure that our messaging is informative and inspirational across all of our routes to market. You will be a passionate writer with an interest in London, travel and sightseeing with demonstrable experience of creating copy for websites, social media, apps and newsletters.

You will ‘own’ the content that we use and be responsible for increasing dwell times and increasing interactions. You’ll work with multiple departments and disciplines, giving you the opportunity to have a major impact and develop new skills in SEO and social media, whilst growing your understanding of e-commerce and marketing.

You’ll be able to put your own stamp on your work, while producing copy for a variety of platforms, and provide input into the creative direction that the company takes. You’ll play a key role in the development of the company's brand and be an important voice in content marketing campaigns.

Role Responsibilities

  • ‘Own’ the content used for website(s), social media, apps, articles, newsletters, etc
  • Write and upload clear, persuasive and informative content with a fresh and interesting perspective
  • Ensure the content is ‘SEO friendly’, whilst working with the SEO team to meet specific objectives
  • Use analytics to make informed decisions
  • Work to specific timescales
  • Maintain and improve brand reputation
  • Editing content contributed both internally and from 3rd party suppliers
  • Support content marketing and social media campaigns, providing ideas and defining creative direction
  • Proof reading where needed, including non-digital content

Essential Criteria

  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential. As well as being currently UK based
  • Experience working in a similar role
  • Excellent spelling and grammar
  • Ability to clearly articulate a point in a concise and highly engaging manner
  • Impeccable attention to detail with the ability to spot grammar and spelling mistakes
  • Excellent knowledge of SEO and how it relates to content writing
  • Positive, proactive and professional attitude to work and learning
  • An understanding of Analytics
  • Well organized
  • Ability to upload content onto a CMS
  • A 'can do' attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Job Type:

· Full-time and permanent

Salary:

· Initially £25,000.00 pa, increasing after successfully passing probation

· Company pension

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of content writing, not just social media copy
