So, where do i fit in?

We’re looking for an experienced BI Developer & Analyst to join our Product and Propositions (P&P) team. In the role you’ll be responsible for producing insightful and engaging reporting that empowers the department to make informed business decisions as well as reporting on KPIs up to board level.

With an organised approach you’ll ensure that priorities are clear and realistic, while leading on the development of report creation for the P&P team and ensuring alignment with business priorities. You’ll be passionate when it comes to creating visual insights, that enable the high performance of the department, as well as reviewing existing reporting to identify opportunities to develop these or archive reports/datasets that are no longer needed.

Through excellent communication skills, you’ll work closely with the Data team attending huddles, stand-ups and collaborating daily to ensure reporting is consistent, providing one version of the truth across all GE departments. You’ll work in an agile way to expedite delivery, confidently balancing projects based on business priorities and delegating activities to the Data Support Analyst as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders, ensuring that consistency is reached at each stage of the process from initial scoping to report delivery.

  • Implement best practice methodologies to ensure that the Product & Propositions department is working collaboratively to fit the needs of the business.

  • Continually looking to automate complicated queries to help stakeholders make decisions.

  • To create accurate and timely reports that allow members of P&P to measure performance and answer ad-hoc queries that help the department with its decision-making.

  • Prepare pricing information to a high degree of accuracy with any assumptions clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders.

  • Have I got what it takes?

You’ll be a highly competent Power BI Developer, able to communicate effectively with all areas of the business to produce insightful reporting to both drive workloads in the teams and report business performance to board level. We’re looking for a self-starter with a desire to put their own stamp on this role. You'll be a clear communicator who is used to working with stakeholders at all levels and enjoys that element of the role.

You’ll know how to identify and share data insights within a customer-centric business, have a keen eye for detail, and understand how the data comes together. You’ll value building good relationships as strongly as accurate analytics and will be experienced in translating raw data into meaningful and understandable information. You’ll have the skills to deliver an engaging presentation and be able to use data to articulate meaningful stories.

You'll have previous proven experience as a BI Developer or Insight Analyst with substantial experience in creating reports using data visualisation software, especially PowerBI. You'll also have strong experience in SQL. Experience with Python would also be desirable but is not essential.
