Job Description
Gourmet Brownie Limited produces chocolate brownies for sale to trade customers. As a business we pride ourselves on exceptional quality, honesty and good relationships with our customers, suppliers and staff.
Our Ideal Candidate would:
- Enjoy baking and working in a bakery.
- Possibly have experience of batch baking and /or experience of working on a production packing line, however all training will be provided.
- Able to work efficiently and follow bake-run plans & packing schedules on a daily basis.
- Preferably holding a Level 2 Hygiene qualification, or willingly complete training.
- Committed to working safely & following all health and safety requirements .
- Willing to take initiative and give 100% effort.
Responsibilities include :
- Preparing brownie mix to a set recipe and baking to exact timings.
- Cutting, topping and decorating brownies.
- Weighing and packing products into retail ready packs.
- Packing orders and ensuring correct labelling and paperwork for courier.
- Regular daily cleaning and deep cleaning tasks.
Requirements
- Baking experience is not essential for this role as full training will be given.
- Heavy lifting will be required as some ingredients are 25kg.
- Good understanding of written and spoken English.
- Able to follow instructions and work co-operatively with bakery management.
- Great attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptable and able to work quickly, especially at busier times.
- Willing to complete any other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
- Be sympathetic to the Christian values we hold.

The successful candidate will ideally have relevant experience of working with food in a manufacturing environment, although full training will be provided. They will need to be polite, enthusiastic, reliable, and self-motivated. They will need to be comfortable working independently on tasks, as well as part of a team. They should be adaptable and able to react to changing priorities.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 8 - 22 per week
Salary: £10.00 per hour
