QA Assistant

Location: Kingswinford, DY6 7TD, UK

Grape Tree is a leading retailer of high-quality dried fruits, nuts and seeds in the UK. We are currently seeking a QA Assistant to join our team and help us maintain our standards of quality and excellence.

As a QA Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Manager in ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct daily checks on all products to ensure that they meet our quality standards and specifications.

· Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints, identifying any potential issues and making recommendations for corrective actions.

· Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure that they are meeting our quality standards and adhering to relevant regulations.

· Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, training materials and documentation.

· Work collaboratively with the purchasing and production teams to ensure that all products are meeting our quality standards and any corrective actions are taken.

· Maintain Quality Management System Manuals (i.e. Quality Control Manual and HACCP Manual)

· Develop and maintain thorough working knowledge of applicable regulations, policies and good practices

· Ensure product labelling is compliant

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· A strong understanding of quality management systems and relevant regulations.

· Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.

· Experience in the food industry, preferably in quality assurance or related field, is desirable but not essential.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
