We are the General Teaching Council for Scotland. We register and regulate the teaching profession as a safeguard for the quality of education in Scotland. The Role

What you will do

You will be responsible for applying policy and guidance to make decisions in individual registrant and prospective registrant cases across the teaching profession career journey. You will provide effective advice to registrants and prospective registrants on behalf of GTC Scotland through efficient case consideration and/or assessment.

What you will need to be successful

  • Evidence of effective application of policy and guidance in individual situations
  • Experience of working in a role with policy guided decision-making responsibility and exception management
  • Experience in effective interactions with colleagues, customers and/or service users
  • Good quality written skills
  • Good digital literacy including competency with Microsoft 365 applications (including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Dynamics)
