Position Overview & Specifications
Job Title: General Leisure Apprentice| Location: Ross Swimming Pool| Job Type: Permanent| Salary: £10.42ph
Successful candidates will be placed on the General Leisure Attendant pathway, you will achieve your Leisure Team Member Level 2 qualification, with the option to then progress onto a Level 3 Duty Manager qualification which means you will be eventually managing the building and the team.
We will also give you your National Pool Lifeguard qualification and Swimming Teacher Award.
As a Lifeguard you are calm and confident, potentially you could save a life, and you will help keep people safe. You will need to feel comfortable being in control of the pool and challenging inappropriate behaviour.
You’re not the type to panic under pressure and compromise the safety of others. The role isn’t Baywatch, you don't just sit and watch. You can perform a rescue, deliver first aid, and have difficult conversations with customers who are not acting safely, we will give you the skills and qualifications to be able to do this. You’re looking for the chance to progress and work to a regular rota pattern.
At Halo Leisure we provide affordable leisure facilities for the whole community. As our next Lifeguard you’ll provide safe supervision of customers in poolside locations. You will keep people safe, ultimately you are responsible for preventing serious injuries or accidents.
The Key Requirements…
Ability to pass the National Pool Lifeguard course.
Joining Halo Leisure there is an opportunity to become a swimming teacher, duty manager or a trainer and there is regular ongoing training to keep your skills refreshed.
