Creative Hair Stylist

Hapin Beauty Lounge is an inclusive beauty space which started as a salon but now has expanded serivces, covering hair, nails and aesthetics. Based in Oval South London on a busy main road. Hapin beauty lounge specialises in protective hairstyling along with restoring all crowns. Services range from treatments to weaves, braids, stitch rows, twists, texture release, perms, silk press, tapes and more. Our aim is to ensure all clients hair is healthy, styled to perfection and managable once they leave the lounge. Our joy lays in making sure each person looks good and feels even better.

Hapin Beauty Lounge is currently in search of a professional braider and or hair stylist for their salon based in Oval south London. Duties will run across doing hair and selling hair products. We are searching for an experienced and self-motivated individual, ideally qualified in hair and beauty, with leadership skills practiced in a busy salon environment. The position would be well suited to someone who is both experienced in Afro-Caribbean hair and braiding, can work under pressure and knows how to adapt in the salon environment.

Roles & Duties

• Style hair, including weaves, ponytails, treatments, braiding, texture release and more.
• Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails, and buns
• Apply hair treatment products, as needed (e.g. colour, protection creams, conditioner and hydrating masks)
• Educate clients on haircare and promote other salon services
• Provide hair care services including shampooing, treatments, cutting, colouring and styling.
• Perform wig installation, shaping of hair, curling, straightening, trimming, bleaching, dyeing and tinting services as requested.
• Install tapes, microlinks and weave extensions, sew ins, training will be offered .
• Educate customers on home care tips for hair.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work station.
• Clean and sterilise hair care tools regularly

Working hours vary. Part time roll available with option of extra hours per week. Start time is usually 10:00am with a 9am start on Saturdays. , you will join their dynamic team in Oval and support the continued growth of the business.

Job Types: Per-time, Freelance, Temp-Perm

Salary: From £10.00-£15.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
