Position Overview & Specifications

A lovely family of 4 based in Mill Hill, NW7 are seeking a permanent, long-term, live-in, patient, flexible, fun and friendly housekeeper 70% / parents help 30% who has a positive attitude to support the family with the two children.

The children are almost 3 (boy) and 6.5 months (girl). A driver would be preferable, parking is available. The toddler attends nursery 3.5 days a week. Someone happy to travel with the family (a couple of times a year) would be a bonus.

This is very much a housekeeping role with some childcare support / parents help. You’ll be comfortable to care for both children on occasion, however it’s rare that you’d need to care for both on your own as parents and family love to be involved in the upbringing of the children,

Start date;

Tuesday, 13th June 2023

Days and Hours;

5 days a week; 7am - 7pm from Tuesday - Saturday (the family would be grateful for a little flex on changing the days on occasion if needed). You’d be expected to babysit up to two evenings a week.

Salary;

Based on working 60 hours weekly, the annual gross salary offered will be up to £31,200 & £36,400 (£600-£700 gross weekly) depending on your qualifications and experience.

The candidate would get their own large double room on the top floor with own bathroom. There is a lovely sized garden. The home is in a lovely village - a walk from the local high street where there’s a post office, lots of coffee shops and restaurants, clothes shops, supermarkets and a local library, doctors surgery and local park. Excellent transport links (Thames link and a short bus ride to the closest underground).

You’ll be happy to manage the families laundry (clothes / ironing / bed linen) and keep the house tidy and clean. On occasion, you will be asked to help with the kids when needed, prepare activities, cook them healthy meals etc.

The perfect candidate will be physically fit and kind with a positive attitude - a calm smiley person who can help keep the home in good order and support parents. You’ll be loyal and good fun, someone who is very respectful of the home, tidy and who has excellent levels of hygiene.

You must have at least 2-3 years solid housekeeping experience ideally working with children of these ages (someone who has experience of working alongside parents in a supportive role would be a bonus) and you’ll have a genuine passion to keep a home looking immaculate and enjoy working with children. You will have a valid paediatric first aid certificate, a valid enhanced DBS certificate and excellent checkable references.
