The role - Graduate Process Engineer

Oil and Gas: Upstream Consultancy:

Working for Hatch means working on real projects executing real value-added work right from the start. You will provide immediate and on-going exposure to our clients as well as us providing you with experience of a diverse range of project types. Our process engineers work on studies, concept and FEED level designs for clients throughout the world.

Take a hand in shaping the future and join us as a graduate process engineer. Launch your career by tackling challenging assignments and develop your skills by working with HYSYS or Pro II to develop process flow schemes and heat and material balances. Explore opportunities by taking responsibility for PFD and P&ID development, sizing equipment, generating equipment lists and specifications, or by executing flow assurance work using Pipesim for steady state modelling or OLGA for transient analysis.


We are a global company, and it is likely that you will be given the opportunity to travel both within the UK and internationally, including to facilities on and offshore.

What are we looking for?

  • Are you enthusiastic? Are you interested in learning about all aspects of chemical engineering?
  • Do you have a strong desire to learn and develop as an engineer?
  • Do you want to keep abreast of technology developments?
  • Can you show us that you can be an effective communicator?
  • Do you have the flexibility to meet rapidly changing business needs?

You Need To Have

  • Good written reporting skills
  • A Master’s degree in Chemical engineering (2:1 minimum)
  • And of course, the right to work in the UK
