Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking to recruit a SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT for Hawthorn Court.
To carry out this role, you will need to have the skills and experience to undertake this role effectively.
Key responsibilities within the role:
o To support the Registered Manager in the running of the Home and in particular, in ensuring the provision of the highest quality of care and support for Residents/Individuals that we support;
o To lead the Team of Care Staff by example – setting high standards of work performance and behaviour;
o To lead shifts as required;
o Support the Registered Manager in carrying our effective and timely staff Supervision;
o Support people with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices enabling them to take control of their own lives, thus maximising their independence;
o Support the manager in leading on safe and effective administration of medication within the Home;
o Support the development and maintenance of person-centred planning, ensuring each individual’s Plan has meaningful and achievable goals.
Key experiences/qualities/attributes:
· Experience of supporting individuals Older People within a Residential Care Home – along with a commitment to supporting people to maximise their independence and wellbeing;
· Ability to motivate and inspire Staff to perform at their highest level;
· A clear and confident communicator; you will support the Manager and other Shift leaders in creating a nurturing environment for Residents and Staff.
Pattern of work:
· Days, Nights, throughout the weekdays and the weekend – post-holder will be required to be flexible, in terms of their pattern of work.

Salary: Up to £11.65 per hour

Experience:
- working in older people care: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Social Care Wales Registration (preferred)
- QCF Level 3 Health & Social care (preferred)
