Guitar Teacher

HCM Music Academy is looking for a dedicated Guitar Teacher to join the team!

About the Company:

HCM Music Academy is a well-established music school based in Ware, Hertfordshire, offering instrument lessons for all ages and abilities. Lessons take place at HCM Music Academy, as well as at a number of primary and secondary schools in the area.

All lessons are tailored to the student’s personal goals, whether that be just for fun or following an exam syllabus. HCM is a Rockschool and Triniy exam center and we host exam days once a term, however, tutors also teach from the ABRSM syllabus.

Teachers are encouraged to consider whether students are learning for enjoyment or to undertake examinations and tailor their lessons accordingly.

HCM Music Academy is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

About the Role:

We are currently looking for someone with Wednesday evening availabilty.

All of our teachers work on a self-employed basis with a minimum hourly rate of £25.00 for one-to-one teaching although teaching in groups can see earnings rise significantly.

It would be helpful if applicants are competent in teaching bass.

Requirements:

• Are located within a reasonable travelling distance from Ware.
• Have a DBS certificate or be prepared to gain one.
• Have resident or settled status in the UK.
• Grade 8 certificate or equivalent
• Be happy to engage with parents as well as students
• Comfortable teaching all ages and levels
• Prior teaching experience
• Be able to teach grades such as Rockschool/ Trinity
