Medical Laboratory Assistant (Part Time 17.5 hours per week), Sample Reception - Northwick Park Hospital

We currently have a vacancy for a Part Time Medical Laboratory Assistant (17.5 hours per week) based in our laboratories at Northwick Park and Central Middlesex Hospitals.

Duties will include undertaking laboratory, clerical and telephone responsibilities within the Sample Reception Area. The role will involve receiving, identifying and preparing all samples and request forms entering the department and organising their despatch, the storing and retrieval of samples, and liaising with appropriate departments regarding urgent samples.

The successful candidate will be a familiar and confident user of laboratory computer and telephone systems and maintain a good operating knowledge of analysers and equipment required for performing tasks in Sample Reception. You should have good data entry and processing skills.
