Closing Date: 12/04/2023
Job Type: 12 Months Fixed Term
At Help for Heroes, we believe those who serve our country deserve support when they are wounded. Every day, men and women have to leave their career in the Armed Forces as a result of physical or psychological wounds; their lives changed forever. We help them, and those still serving, to recover and get on with their lives.
And who are we you’re wondering? We are experts and beginners. Generalists and specialists. Ordinary people with an extraordinary passion towards making a positive change to the lives of our veterans (and having fun while doing it).
As One Team we share a philosophy – I.C.A.R.E. It’s the way we walk and talk, the way we interact with others and how we approach everything we do. We are:
Innovative – Collaborative – Authentic – Resourceful – Energetic.
We have an incredible opportunity for a Philanthropy Relationship Manager to join our High Value Partnership team.
About The Role
The Hidden Wounds Service is a developing, multi-disciplinary, evidenced based psychological therapy service working with veterans, their families and loved ones. We have recently been accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists QNVMHS. As a high intensity therapist within the service, you would be able to develop expertise working with veterans and their families presenting with a range of common mental health problems. You will receive supervision from an accredited CBT therapist / supervisor and will work closely in a multi-disciplinary environment with other parts of the charity providing case management for welfare related issues and social and medical support to our beneficiaries.
The Hidden Wounds Service is a growing remote service consisting of PWP’s, accredited counsellors and accredited CBT therapists. In addition to clinical supervision, you will receive regular peer support and attend reflective practice forums making it a great place for a therapist to develop their clinical skills. The wellbeing of staff is an important part of Help for Heroes culture and you will work a 35-hour week and have variation and flexibility within your role. Therapists will co-deliver psychoeducational online courses in conjunction with Help for Heroes Recovery College and will work towards a City and Guilds qualification to support them in this.
Help for Heroes believes those who serve our country deserve support when they’re wounded.
