Position Overview & Specifications

Trainee Site Manager

Role overview:

At Hill we understand the need to train and develop the next generation of leaders, attracting a diverse range of talented individuals who can shape the company’s future. We are recruiting across all 9 regions for a Trainee Site Manager. The role is to gain an understanding and develop the knowledge of Site Management. You will be assisting the person responsible for the delivery of one of our construction projects. Learning about health and safety on site, running a program and managing time and budget constraints. You will learn the key managerial skills of leadership and teamwork through study and experience. You will develop an understanding of our quality systems and procedures and understand the importance of product quality and pride in presentation which insures we maintain our 5 House builder status.

Skills, Experience and Attributes you need to succeed at Hill:

  • Either three A Levels at C grade or above or a BTEC Extended National Diploma in Construction at Merit grade or above (NB depending on other factors/circumstance, marginally lower grades may be considered)
  • Work experience in construction is an advantage but not required.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to timescales
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to travel to construction sites and regional offices.
  • Be enthusiastic and have a genuine interest in the build environment and building a career within Hill
