Pool Lifeguard

Job Title: Lifeguard/Leisure Club Assistant

Main Purpose of Job: To superviseswimmers, ensuring their safety in and around the pool and to maintain exceptional hygiene standards in the leisure club.

Responsible to: Leisure Club Manager

Hours: Various hours available. Whether you’re looking for evening, weekend, full-time or part-time roles, we will have a role that will fit!

Location: Holgates Caravan Park in Silverdale.

Main Tasks of Job Include

Provide a safe and secure environment for all guests whilst using our leisure facilities, making sure that guest stay safe by following our leisure rules and regulations. On a very rare occasion you may assist swimmers in difficulty or even perform lifesaving first aid.

Provide first aid cover to all park users.

Responsible for regular testing of the water quality in the pool and spa.

Ensure the leisure club is presented and managed to the highest standard at all times - maintaining the exceptionally high standards of cleanliness. You will also assist in maintenance and the weekly, as well as monthly cleaning regime.

Requirements

Focus and concentration are key to this role. You must be able to remain undistracted and concentrate on the important task of ensuring the safety of our guests at all times.

Customer service skills are paramount. Candidates must be friendly yet authoritative. A friendly face but a firm manor is required to ensure the rules are followed.

Flexibility; you will mostly be working within the leisure club but will be required from time to time to assist in other departments.

A willingness to learn is required as there will be continual, on the job learning, with regular training sessions to keep qualifications up to date.

Qualifications

A pool lifeguard qualification is highly desirable. We may run a lifeguard course for the right applicants so we encourage all interested applicants.
