Technology at H&B

We're on a mission to make health and wellness a way of life for everyone – and technology is at the heart of our future plans to become a leading omni-channel retailer. We're building some great products, and we're investing in the rapidly advancing technology that is helping our customers meet their health and wellness goals. We're delivering more speed in the retail experience, greater convenience in service and delivery, and increasing personalisation in our brand and product propositions, both in-store and online.

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Product Manager to lead our Basket/Checkout and Payments engineering squads. As the Senior Product Manager for Checkout and Payments, you will be responsible for driving the strategy and delivering the best e-commerce experiences for our web and app customers across the UK and globally. You will play a critical role in reducing customer pain points and friction at basket and checkout, utilising customer insights and data, and contributing significantly to our sales targets.

You should have a solid understanding and experience of lean UX principles, including A/B and MVT testing. As an impactful communicator, you should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable speaking to both technical and non-technical teams. Your ability to work cross-functionally across multiple squads and stakeholders will be essential to delivering high-quality results. You should have 3-5 years of product management experience in a role, and ideally have worked at a similar scale in e-commerce, payments, and checkout and/or fintech.

  • Lead the Basket/Checkout and Payments squad to define the ideal customer experience that delivers against our OKRs
  • Work day to day with the engineering squad to develop and implement the product roadmap, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and features
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, customer support, and marketing to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Utilise customer insights and data to reduce customer pain points and friction at the basket and checkout
  • Drive the implementation of lean UX principles, including A/B and MVT testing.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of products
  • Communicate to senior leaders to create transparency of decision-making and planning
  • Work closely with stakeholders across and multiple squads to drive the overall product strategy
Skills and experience
  • 3-5 years of product management experience, preferably in e-commerce, payments, and checkout
  • Clear evidence of delivering high quality products at pace with measurable business and customer impact
  • Strong understanding of lean UX principles, including A/B and MVT testing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to set up, report and interpret data using a variety of tools (e.g. GA, Optimizely, Content Square)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable speaking to both technical and non-technical teams and at senior (SLT) levels
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally across multiple squads and stakeholders
Our benefits
  • We operate virtually. Remote, hybrid or in our tech hubs – we work in an agile environment where you can thrive.
  • We offer a 10% bonus (based on company and personal performance) – when we win, so do you
  • Learn from the best – at H&B you'll have the opportunity to enhance and expand your skills and shape your career
  • We want you to produce your best, so we provide you with the best tech equipment
  • Stay healthy with a 25% discount on all product ranges to help you live well
  • We like to recognise and celebrate our people with our Colleague Recognition Scheme, so your hard work won't go unnoticed
