Position Overview & Specifications

Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant role is an essential corporate role that supports senior leadership to be effective in their roles. The role is designed to support members of senior leadership (Executive Directors / Directors) to deliver their roles in an organised way by providing a high-quality support service to assigned Director(s).


This role sits within the Homeownership Directorate, a key delivery directorate of Homes England and supports the Director of Help to Buy. The post holder will be part of a small but mighty team dedicated to providing exceptional support.


A bit about you…


You would be a talented and enthusiastic team player with the ability to quickly develop good rapport with other Executive Assistants who support senior colleagues across the business. This role is incredibly varied, challenging, and exciting.


We are looking for someone who has the following key skills and knowledge:

1. Excellent organisation skills with ability to anticipate and show initiative.

2. Resilience to adapt to ever changing priorities and demands, demonstrating knowledge and professionalism to support leaders to achieve outcomes

3. Excellent administration skills, ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing with good attention to detail

4. Ability to work at pace and with multiple priorities

5. Effective time management skills

6. Stakeholder management skills with demonstrable initiative, proactivity and engagement with business

7. Political sensitivity, and the ability to exercise appropriate discretion, tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and judgement on issues of significance and importance, particularly when dealing with officials at the highest level

8. Ability to build rapport and trust with senior leaders

9. Advanced digital skills, with knowledge and experience of a range of software applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The ability to produce high quality documents and presentations
