Position Overview & Specifications
Hayward/ San Leandro service area
Essential Functions:
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with existing and new referral sources. These referral sources represent, but are not limited to physicians, case managers, discharge planners, social workers, and other health care providers in private practice, hospitals, long term care facilities, and skilled nursing facilities.
- Increases the knowledge, understanding, and utilization of hospice services on the part of existing and new referral sources.
- Maintains organized client information on each contact, and tracks and records results of visits/results on the Agency’s CRM data base or activity log, as assigned.
- Identifies and prioritizes key accounts and potential referral sources.
- Uses superior customer service to maintain current relationships and establish new client relationships.
- Provides input and assists in organizing educational and appreciation activities such as National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, National Nurses Week, Veterans Day and other opportunities to enhance the Hope Hospice brand in the community.
- Represents Hope Hospice in the community at health and vendor fairs and networking market events as assigned.
- Actively participates in department meetings and activities and attends Hope Hospice staff meetings.
- Provides editorial input for On Call, the Agency’s newsletter designed to provide clinical education on hospice and palliative care to physicians and medical professionals.
- Offers input in developing the Agency’s medical and professional marketing plan, and collaborates with other staff, as assigned.
- Helps build collaborative working relationships both internally and externally.
Required Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in hospice and/or medical marketing and sales.
- An understanding of, and commitment to, the hospice philosophy.
Education / Licenses
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Licensed RN or LVN preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
