Industrial Cleaning Supervisor

Salary: £26,364 PA + Overtime paid at time and a half

Working Monday to Friday - Days - No weekends - Permanent position

Location: Great Gransden - Cambourne/Sandy area

An Industrial Cleaning Supervisor is required by an engineering company located in Great Gransden, to assist with all the cleaning duties; as well and supervise a small team of cleaners. This is a hands-on role, covering the factory and the office areas.

As this is based in Great Gransden, having your own transport is recommended as there is no public transport.

The Industrial Cleaning Supervisor will be directly responsible for the day-to-day running and activities incurred in cleaning and all aspects of Health & Safety, Production, Inspection and Discipline.

Duties:

• To take ownership of the day-to-day cleaning of factory production areas and toilets.
• The keeping of good order, motivation, and discipline of the cleaning personnel under your control.
• To establish and uphold a professional and confidential rapport when carrying out your daily duties and conferring with the shop floor personnel.

General Objectives and Responsibilities:

• All staff shall be fully trained and inducted to comply with company safety policy both in-house and on-site.
• To continue to improve and uphold the technical abilities of all individuals under your control.
• To help create an environment where standards on hygiene, discipline, attendance, and good timekeeping are upheld.
• To maintain a flexible and positive working environment giving maximum cooperation to other departments/areas.
• To create a team that is both flexible and cooperative that will embrace change and challenges in a positive and helpful manner.
• Take ownership with the reception of cleaning material deliveries to ensure quantities of the correct delivered items match the purchase order. Reporting any discrepancies or quality concerns to the Material purchase buyer.
• Take ownership of maintaining all material handling equipment to be kept clean and tidy.

Cleaning Duties:

Sweeping up factory floors, Sanitising surfaces, Washing & Mobile Karcher factory floors, Emptying domestic rubbish bins, Emptying metal swarf bins from engineering sections, Cleaning engineering machines, Cleaning staircase & handrails, Toilet cleaning duties daily, Hoovering, Pressure washing.

Working Hours: 39 hours per week

• Monday 7.30 am - 4.00 pm
• Tuesday 7.30 am - 4.30 pm
• Wednesday/Thursday 7.30 am - 5.00 pm
• Friday 7.30 am - 12.00 Mid-day
