Warehouse Operative - Fareham

We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our expanding team. You will be based from the Fareham branch.

As the Warehouse Operative, you will be expected to ensure customers receive a fast and efficient response to distribution enquiries, building customer loyalty and enhancing the company’s reputation for service.

As the Warehouse Operative your duties will be:

• Dealing with trade counter customers
• Goods inwards, picking, packing, loading and off-loading vehicles
• Deliveries
• Daily vehicle checks and cleanliness of vehicles
• Daily branch proposal and continuous stock taking
• Day-to-day administration

To be a successful Warehouse Operative you will have the following skills and experience:

• Previous warehouse experience
• Ability to operate a forklift truck is desirable, but not essential; training will be given
• Familiarity with computerised despatch systems would be an advantage
• Effective communication skills
• Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is required

Your normal working hours will be based on a 42.5-hour working week, usually Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5pm. However, you will be expected to work a daily 8.5-hour shift between the hours of 6am and 6pm on a flexible basis. You will be required to participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota.
