Position Overview & Specifications

The Huntington's Disease Association, a registered UK charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by Huntington's disease, is thrilled to announce an exciting new national role. We are seeking a highly motivated Project Officer to lead the development of national events and enhance our youth services for children and young people (age 8 – 25) from families impacted by Huntington's disease. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to reduce isolation, nurture collaboration, and make a positive impact on the lives of these young individuals.

As a Project Officer, your main responsibilities will include project managing national events and driving our co-production efforts with children and young people affected by Huntington's disease in their families. This role is 35 hours per week and is home based in England or Wales with regular travel across England and Wales. The successful candidate must possess a clean UK driving licence and have access to a car.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual with significant experience in organising events for children and young people. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have a strong background in utilising youth voice within services. If you are enthusiastic, self-motivated, and passionate about improving the welfare of young people affected by Huntington's disease, this role presents an excellent opportunity for you to contribute your knowledge, skills, and experience to our organisation.

The Huntington's Disease Association is looking for someone with the ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of adults at risk, children and young people.
