Drivers Mates in Wigan

We are currently looking for experienced Drivers Mates in Wigan.

Our client is the UK’s leading home delivery specialist, delivering over 15,000 products to around 7,500 homes every day. Specializing in heavy, large and bulky items, they offer unrivalled coverage six days a week for all of your favourite brands.

Working Hours: 06.00 am until finish (there is usually 50 drops a day so you must be flexible as shift might be various 8 hours or 12 hours)

Pay:

• £9.50 PAYE – Saturday (increase to £10.55/h after 12 weeks of work)
• £12.35 PAYE – Sunday/Bank Holiday (increase to £13.72/h)

Duties included:

• Delivering products on a 3.5t Van or 7.5t truck as part of a 2-person delivery team
• Ensuring all deliveries to the customer happens within agreed time windows
• Taking responsibility for your colleagues & your own Health & Safety
• Caring for all packages – ensuring customers new goods are not damaged in any way
• Being confident, organised & efficient – making customers lives easier
• You will require to unload the VAN and take the order to customer house

The Ideal candidate would have previous experience as Driver Mate within a transport environment.
