Production Operative

Ideal Standard are hiring 6 Production Operatives to join our busy ceramic manufacturing site based at Armitage in Rugeley. We are the UK’s largest manufacturer of bathroom and sanitaryware.

*** Basic Salary - £20,645.35 + £5,713.98 Shift Allowance ***

In return for your hard work and commitment, we’ll give you full ongoing training on all aspects of the job from day one.

You'll have a fixed term employment contract with Ideal Standard that will be regularly reviewed as permanent contracts are available.

Ideally you will have experience in either a manufacturing or warehouse environment

You'll have a great attitude to work – be a team player and with the physical demands of the role in manual handling ceramic bathroom products.

Responsibilities:

The role covers a variety of duties including:

• Operation of machinery.
• Undertaking processing duties (finishing, inspection, rectification).
• Assembly of components
• Material movement, storage, handling of product from conveyor belts – of up to 25KG
• Maintaining high levels of health & safety
• Achievement of hourly rates of production

This role will involve working shifts on a 6 days on and 4 days off rota, and the hours are as follows:

05:55 until 14:00, 13:55 until 22:00, 21:55 until 06:00 on a rotating basis.

We need your full commitment to working shifts on this set pattern.

Key skills and attributes:

Ideally, we are looking for candidates who possess the following:

• Ability to manually handle to 25KGs on a regular basis
• Happy to work in an environment where the temperature is warm
• Good attendance, punctuality and a great attitude to work
• Eager to achieve what is expected against daily targets/goals
