Assay Research Intern (12m / BSc+)

• Design and execute molecular biology/biochemistry experiments
• Operate state-of-the-art equipment, including Illumina sequencers
• Analyze experimental data
• Present results to peers
• Work closely with other scientists in the team
• Document procedures and results

• A recent graduate with a BSc or MSc in a biological science (e.g. biochemistry/biology/genetics/natural sci.)
• A working knowledge of or background in Next Generation Sequencing would be advantageous but not essential
• A keen interest/knowledge in genetics, genomics and sequencing methodologies
• Sound understanding of DNA/RNA manipulation techniques
• Understanding of nucleic acid biochemistry and the application of molecular biology techniques
• An ability to troubleshoot molecular biology and biochemistry issues
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
