Food and Beverage Manager

Job Location: Whitby, UK

Our contemporary hotel Restaurant and Bar 1822 offers delicious home-grown food with a kitchen garden to plate concept and an emphasis on zero waste.

The role:

• Push forward our Food & Beverage operation.
• Effective recruitment, training and leadership across the team
• Working closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure a fantastic food offering is delivered.
• Working closely with our Head Grower and kitchen garden team to ensure products are utilised from our fabulous kitchen garden.
• Ensuring your team can deliver the ultimate guest experience and setting the highest standards for services; breakfast / lunch / afternoon tea/dinner and everything in between.
• Responsible for all business controls, including stock, labour and general expenditure, working to budgets and sale forecasts.
• Promoting a strong communication between departments and maintaining brand standards.
• Working closely with our sales and marketing team to promote our Restaurant and Bar 1822 to non-residential guests.

What we need to see from you:

• Extensive Food & Beverage Management is essential.
• A natural leader of people, ability to inspire, motivate and train a team
• An analytical mind for effective reporting and business planning
• Demonstrable experience of financial accountability within your department managing rotas/labour costs, stock control and expenditure.
