Maintenance Technician

We're looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team, in this role you'll be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs on our site. Our buildings are the homes of our Student's, so you'll make a big a difference to their day-to-day lives and you'll get the opportunity to learn new skills.

You'll be responsible for:

• Conducting compliance checks, administer all property maintenance & records in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Undertake reactive maintenance tasks including minor plumbing repairs; joinery and carpentry; painting/decorating; replacement of lamps and tubes and required statutory testing.
• Ensure site based checks are carried out for their statutory insurance and qualifications; items such as emergency light testing, water temperature testing and fire alarm testing.
• Ensure the gardens and grounds maintenance to the property are well maintained, clean, tidy and hazard free.

Providing safe and welcoming homes for our residents is at the heart of what we do; so, candidates will have excellent focus and attention to detail when it comes to compliance checks. You'll have experience of undertaking repairs and maintenance in a domestic residential environment, or as a general builder/residential construction worker. You'll be a friendly person who is happy to talk, as the Student's will often come to you to log their issues and ask for your help to fix things.

Salary: £24,000 pro rata

Hours: 20 hrs
