CAD/CAM Mechanical Engineering Trainee
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our company. We are a successful Engineering Company, offering a stable and lucrative career in our fast-growing business.
We require a CAD/CAM Mechanical Engineering Trainee on a permanent basis to support our design office and workshop operations. This includes learning to produce detail drawings using CAD and program CAM machinery.
We manufacture bespoke equipment mainly using Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium. Machinery includes 4M Press Brake and Turret Punch.
We are looking for a Trainee who is willing to learn, and would ideally suit someone that has recently completed an engineering apprenticeship or engineering college course. Full training will be given to gain experience in the following specifically to our business needs:
· CAD Sheet Metal & Fabrication Design
· CAD Mechanical Design
· CAM Punch Machine Programming
· Specifying Parts and Procurement
· Machinery Design and Detail for Manufacture
· Site Surveying
The ideal candidate should:
· Be Computer Literate with knowledge of Windows based computer systems
· Be able to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in-writing
· Demonstrate good listening and communication skills
· Have a keen eye for detail
· Be able to work in a team and on their own
· Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
· Abide to Health & Safety procedures
· Be able to travel to Heywood by reliable means. Own vehicle would be recommended.
Working Pattern: 8AM To 5PM Monday to Thursday, 8AM to 1PM Friday
