Position Overview & Specifications

SALARY: £45,000 - £55,000

The successful candidate for the above role will retain their current employer, i.e. if you are a Jaguar employee you will continue to be administered on the Jaguar grading structure with the associated terms and conditions. If you are currently on BAC or EMC terms, you will retain your current employer but will transfer to a JLR contract and the associated terms and conditions.

To enable Jaguar Land Rover to meet future sales volumes and customer delivery expectations, in this unprecedented era of global supply chain disruption, our Enterprise needs live, accurate & precise insights derived from our data on which to make decisions in this highly dynamic period. It is critical that we have access to these insights at all times and shift our approach from insight generation based on offline / batch data analysis to online /live data insights.


The newly forming Supply Chain Reporting & Insights Team is responsible for providing analytics and actionable insight to the Supply Chain Planning team, in the context of the wider Industrial Operations Function. This Reporting & Insights team will seek to support the relevant supply chain, purchasing and manufacturing teams in determining supply chain best practise and optimise issues such as inventory turn & dwell (sub-component, tier 1 & finished vehicle) at each of the stages along the E2E supply chain to maximise supply performance to meet current demand. The focus of the team is to work with all teams to provide a holistic journey both in terms of providing the analytics to help set rules to optimise the plan, make & buy value creation stage but also guide on the reporting technology required to support this.


This role will be responsible for reviewing the current data infrastructure around the end to end supply chain function, supporting the development, design and delivery of key reports, dashboards through creating and implementing data pipelines and maintaining a single source of truth dataset.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


This role will see you working with the wider Reporting & Insights team to maximise the use of available analytics and reporting technology. You will be involved with creating data pipelines, engineering data to help drive business improvement across the end-to-end supply chain – from suppliers to end customers.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED:


The ideal candidate will have relevant previous experience in Project Management and Agile working in sprints as well as knowledge of the latest technology, data sources and methodologies with a view to driving best-in-class reporting & insights.


Essential Skills


  • Experience of designing data models / data architecture
  • Previous experience and knowledge of modern programming languages & scripts;
  • Advanced experience of using Python or equivalent
  • Previous experience using Airflow
  • Previous experience using GIT
  • Previous experience using Dataform
  • Advanced experience in Google Cloud Platform or equivalent
  • SQL experience
  • Ability to communicate complex data or technical concepts to non technical internal clients


Desirable Skills:


  • Previously working in Agile project management environment using Scrum
  • Process oriented with great documentation skills
  • Data exploration, visualisation in Tableau, Looker, Power BI or similar
  • Experience of working within Supply Chain

For promotions, the salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including the size of and skills required for the role, the external market value of the role and your individual knowledge and experience.
