Position Overview & Specifications
We are a small 5 bedded care home for learning difficulties situated in Gleadless Sheffield. We are looking for someone to work alongside our small friendly experienced team. We believe firmly in respecting the dignity of our residents and encouraging independence, also providing them with support to have freedom of choice in their daily routines and chosen activities.
We are looking for a full time and part time candidate. Shifts available are 3pm-9pm / 7.30am-3pm / 9am-9pm - this will include weekends on a pro rota basis.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Be familiar with working in accordance with the homes policies and procedures.
- Support residents in a manner that promotes choices and beliefs, respect residents rights, Independence and involvement to achieve positive outcomes. Ensure care is provided in accordance with the residents care plan.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Accept duties as delegated provided these are provided within the scope of the individual.
- Attend and contribute to all staff meetings and supervisions.
- Attend training sessions and have a positive attitude to self development.
- To undertake other duties which maybe required and which are applicable to the post.
Experience required
We require a minimum of three years experience within the learning disability sector, preferably have an NVQ/QCF level 2 in health and social care.
