This is a business that is continual looking at improving and to this end we are currently looking to recruit a Safety Engineer—who is a specialist in lifting operations, processes and equipment to work within the current Health and Safety team.
Overview of the role:
You will initially review all lifting operations across the JCB group and then look to implement best practices in all our lifting operations. Ensuring that best practices become embedded and that that all lifting work is done correctly and legally compliant. It will mean working with our engineers and manufacturing team members to communicate clear guidelines and deliver training to ensure they are understood.
A specialist within your field, you’ll look for ways to improve the way we work by reviewing our processes and attending suppliers and trade associations to discover the best new equipment and suppliers. It’s a chance to drive the culture of relentless improvement that defines JCB and have a real influence on the manufacturing process at a world-renowned global company. About you:
You will need excellent technical knowledge of lifting processes, equipment and all the relevant health & safety requirements and legislation. Experience in a similar role is desired, but training will be offered to the right candidate.
