Position Overview & Specifications

The Deal Services team in the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) partners closely with external and internal stakeholders, including clients and client legal counsels, bankers and deal team leads, credit, legal, compliance and business management to provide e ffi cient and timely support with the execution of live deals.

As a member of the team, your goal will be to assist Corporate and Investment Banking product and coverage teams by providing consistent, high quality deal support and client service.

Job responsibilities
  • Providing operational support during the execution of investment and corporate banking transactions across Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Lending
  • Quarterbacking key milestones in the deal lifecycle: creating deal folders, managing the conflicts submission process, sanctions screening, conducting Counterparty Due Diligence, Environmental and Social Risk Assessment, and client due diligence/Know Your Client processes etc.
  • Partnering with the Wholesale KYC Operations (WKO) Client Office, Bankers and Compliance teams to assess documentation requirements for new client legal entity on-boarding and new business implementation
  • Assisting in audit / regulatory reviews, controls issue resolution and reporting
  • Assist in the execution of strategic projects and process improvements
  • Deploy solutions to improve client experience - e.g., use of data and analytics to evaluate and quantify Client Experience
  • Navigate the firm on behalf of clients and bankers; coordinate with different business groups and facilitate discussions

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Previous experience and sound knowledge of investment banking products (Acquisition and Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Equity Capital Markets) as well as Corporate Banking products and processes
  • Comfortable dealing with clients/senior executives on a regular basis
  • Highly self-motivated to work independently and on broad based teams that cross Lines of Business
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong decision making capabilities and the ability to identify problems and drive to resolution
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Advanced work experience preferred with a background in sales/client service and project management is a plus
  • German or other European languages would be beneficial
