Position Overview & Specifications
Keel Boat Services Ltd, based at Tattenhall Marina, Cheshire, is seeking a Boatyard Worker to join our team refurbishing and repairing canal boats. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with general joinery, painting, property refurbishment and maintenance.
This is a full-time post with an immediate start. We offer a salary of £17-24k (based on a 35-hour week), 20 days paid holiday, and opportunities for overtime and bonus. Some weekend and evening work may be required.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Pressure washing and cleaning hulls when they are removed from the water
- Minor repairs to hulls prior to painting
- Blacking hulls with 2-pack epoxy paint
- Removing base units, shelving, work surfaces, wall units, cupboards, fixtures and fittings from boat interiors
- Assembling kitchen and bathroom units, setting out and securing
- Snagging work to wood, metal and other surfaces - filling, sanding and painting
- Boat cleaning and polishing prior to sale
- General tidying, cleaning and support with workshop and boat yard tasks.
You will need some experience of working with hand and small power tools.

Part-time hours: 35-40 per week
Salary: £17,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
