Bar/Reception Staff - Live In available

The Kelvin Hotel is a small hotel open all year round offering accomodation.
We have a small very recently refurbished bar. We are situated in the beautiful and busy town of Oban on the west coast of Scotland. The successful candidate should be outgoing, and friendly with a fun personality and a natural talent for customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serving drinks to guests and the public
• Restock bar and keep it clean and tidy
• Comply with all food and alcohol laws
• Effectively handle check-in, bookings, payments and enquiries
• Communicate with the booking, housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure prompt responses to guests’ needs
• Helping guests with various matters such as transport and restaurant advice

Requirements

• Excellent customer care skills together with professional communication and a flare for increasing bar sales and improving customer experience
• Ability to work flexibly when required, including weekends and evenings, to get the best result for the hotel
• Be able to work on your own, embrace responsiibilty and as a part of a small team
• Computer literacy and familiarity with Little Hotelier software a plus
• Personal License holder
