Do you want to develop your knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure that we deliver high quality, person centred care at the right time and in the right place? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to work in our community service.
We actively encourage applications from people with experience of working within a community mental health care setting. The team provide a service to people aged 14-65 with a presentation of first episode of psychosis and it would be beneficial for individuals applying for this post to have some experience working with people with complex mental health needs and be able to engage people in a practical way that enables recovery and to have an understanding of the importance of their physical health.
The role includes a focus on physical health, nutrition and well-being working closely with the Band 6 Registered General Nurse. This will involve supporting service users to have physical health checks, providing education and support to service users and their families and helping to run well-being clinics. The post holder should have a qualification in venepuncture or be willing to complete.
