Advert

We’re looking for an experienced, creative and organised Marketing & Communications Officer to join our Marketing and Resident Experience (MRX) team.

This is a varied and busy role where you’ll have plenty of opportunity to demonstrate your marketing, communications and engagement skills to promote the wealth of information, advice, guidance and support available to families in interesting and engaging ways. You’ll be using this experience to contribute to and manage a wide range of projects, and work with our colleagues in the NHS Kent and Medway to build a network of channels and ways to reach parents, young people and the professionals who work with and support them.

Your confidence and experience in building good working relationships will help you work collaboratively with young people’s and parent/carer forums, and your analytical skills will help you draw useful insight from their feedback to shape future activities and report on impact and effectiveness.

You will be responsible for:

  • helping to achieve important goals by managing a wide range of marketing, communications and engagement projects (testing your excellent management skills)
  • creating and shaping compelling content and promotional activity (with your eye for what will interest or appeal to people)
  • providing marketing and communications advice and support (spotting potential issues or opportunities to join up activities)
  • planning, prioritising, scheduling and coordinating loads of stuff (at the same time)
  • handling lots of different requests or issues at the same time (while keeping calm and focused)
  • building good relationships to get things done smoothly (collaboration is your motto)

About you

  • You’re great at working out what marketing and communications activity is needed and turning this into an effective and measurable plan.
  • You have an excellent track record of successfully delivering multiple, concurrent marketing, communications or engagement projects.
  • You have bags of experience in producing content that will interest and appeal to target audiences.
  • You are confident in building good relationships with colleagues and know when to resolve issues yourself and when to escalate.
  • You know what’s involved in creating and implementing multi-channel campaigns and communications activity.
  • You’re able to influence, motivate and direct colleagues that you don’t directly manage.
  • You’re not afraid to challenge or to be challenged, you’re curious to know how things can be improved and you work exceptionally well as part of a multi-disciplinary team, focused on shared goals.
  • It matters to you that the work you’ll do here will be helping the residents and communities of Kent.
