FLT Driver

We are looking for a FLT Driver to work for our Skelmersdale based client.

Summary of the FLT Driver position:

• The Pay: £11.50PH
• The Location: Skelmersdale (WN8)
• The Hours: 4 on 4 off (12 hour shifts 2 days, 2 nights)
• The Job: General warehouse
• The Person: Able to work in a team and independently. Able to work under pressure. Good communicator and willing to learn.

Daily duties of a FLT Driver include:

• In date FLT CB licence is essential with at least 2 years experience.
• Take reels from machine, ensuring they are labelled and wrapped correctly, store in warehouse in organised manor.
• Load reels onto wagons for delivery to other sites.
• Ensure all reels in warehouse are fully wrapped and ready for despatch. Any with superficial damage must be fixed to a high standard.
• Complete manual delivery notes with all relevant details and input into SAP creating SAP delivery note, when required.
• Put cores into core magazine, ensure that the machine does not run out of cores and make sure that no damaged cores enter core magazine.
• Empty broke cart/skips throughout the shift.
• Must be able to take direction from team leaders for further duties, if/when it’s required.
• Own the warehouse standards, keep floor clean, consolidate cores when needed and ensure HOLD reels are stored in straight lines and are accessible.
• Assist Storeman with the monthly mother reel count by moving reels and monthly stock checks in stores, along with any other tasks when required.
• Fill in the shift handover book and ensure that all trucks are gassed up ready for the oncoming shift.
