Applied Learning Tutor/Technician (Animal Care)

Kingsmead is a high performing 11-16 school in a rural part of Somerset. For April 2023 (or soon after) we are seeking to appoint a Tutor or individual with industry relevant experience.

The work pattern involves 4.5 weekdays plus a site visit on Saturday and/or Sunday for the purpose of livestock management. The hours of employment are 8.30am-5pm four days per week and 8.30am-1.15pm on one other day; to be set according to timetabling needs.

Directed time is split 0.7 Tutor and 0.39 Technician [resources]. This may require adjustment according to future timetabling needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

• The ability and determination to develop new practical learning facilities.
• Qualifications in animal management or similar at Level 3 or above.
• Experience of qualification delivery & management at Levels 1 and 2 / GCSE.
• IT skills suitable to computer aided delivery styles, IT based lessons and course administration.
