SOUTHERN COUNTIES CAR DELIVERIES are looking for experienced and reliable self-employed Trade Plate drivers

The Role

Daily duties of the role will involve the collection and drop off of vehicles upto 3.5t from various locations, throughout the UK

• The role will involve working unsociable, long hours
• Contracted Drivers are required to be smartly presented at all times well organised and able to demonstrate a commitment to the demands of the busy role
• We expect our contracted drivers to operate safely, ensuring that they drive legally and in line with the current legislation at all times
• Good time management is essential to ensure that you can be at your required destinations in good time and meet the daily schedule of vehicle movements
• Contracted Drivers will also be expected to complete a vehicle evaluation form for each and every movement made.
• A good knowledge of using smart phones / tablets / App will be necessary for this role

Working Hours

Hours of work and Monday to Friday:

• Contracted Drivers would need to accommodate being at their first location for 09:00
• Working through the daily schedule of vehicle movements until the last planned collection is made
• Last vehicle collected can be used for onward journey home and will be the first vehicle delivered the following working day
• Social distancing and Personal Protective Equipment is required at all tasks. Protocols are to be strictly observed in line with government guidelines.

Rate of Pay

£350-£550 per week on average

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Additional Information

Successful contractor applicants MUST be over 25 and have a maximum of 6 points on their licence, and will not have been banned in the last 5 years. Previous experience working as a trade plate driver is preferred.
