Are You Up To The Challenge?

You’ll be leading and executing against a first class people development strategy, championing employee growth, development and agile learning aligned to Kwalee’s strategic goals. The role will involve leading Kwalee’s approach to apprenticeships, graduate schemes, and other forms of employee development programmes, as well as developing programmes that encourage learning across the full employment lifecycle and which contribute to Kwalee’s ongoing success.

What Does The Job Actually Involve?

• Develop strategies for the assessment of applicant and employee technical skills and holistic competence, highlighting potential skill gaps and opportunities for improvement. Work across Talent Acquisition, Human Resources and departmental management in support of comprehensive talent acquisition and training needs analysis procedures.

• Support company performance management and appraisal procedures as they relate to the measurement of employee skill and competence.

• Enhance Kwalee’s ability to retain and grow talent through the development of quality career development programmes and skills development training. Ensure existing learning programmes deliver value.

• Identify and facilitate community work opportunities such as work experience and internship programmes.

• Develop programmes that utilise the Apprenticeship Levy in the UK. Seek similar programmes that support the funding of learning opportunities in the UK and other locations.

• Manage all costs associated with learning, development and training. Input to annual budgeting processes. Work in a way that aims to increase revenue and minimise costs.

• Ensure learning interventions and development programmes deliver best value to the business.

• Support the onboarding of all employees to ensure new employees complete an induction plan, setting them up for success at Kwalee.

• Support Succession Planning initiatives.

• Maintain awareness of technological developments in the field of learning and development.

• Provide an extra pair of hands as needed in all areas of HR, Talent Acquisition, and People Development.

• Report to the VP of HR all relevant matters that affect your job and work.

• Fully comply with the company's procedures, processes, strategies and tactics as may be notified to you from time to time.

Your Hard Skills

• 6+ years of experience in a senior role in People Development

• Experience of developing career pathways

• Experience of developing modern apprenticeships and graduate recruitment programmes

• Experience of development skill and competence frameworks; experience in measuring skills and competence and carrying out training needs analysis

• Dynamic and agile working style; collaborative and able to build consensus

• A focus on building an inclusive and diverse organisation, that offers accessible development for all colleagues.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the confidence to influence decisions and the ability to build effective relationships.

• Experience of using data to make decisions and drive performance
